01When consent is needed
On the Standard and Strict integrity levels, SeekIQ compares face photos to check that the same person answers throughout. For a candidate under the Illinois or Maryland rule set, face checks need the candidate's consent before the interview starts. On Light, no photos are taken, so nothing is asked.
02What the candidate signs
- Illinois: a written release that explains what is collected, why and for how long, signed with the candidate's typed name.
- Maryland: a signed waiver with the candidate's name, the interview date, their consent and a statement that they read it.
- A candidate can decline. Face checks are then off for them and they can still take the interview.
03The biometric policy
Your AI in hiring page carries a written biometric policy with the retention schedule. Recordings, face photos and the face record are deleted 30 days after capture, or after your paid recording period of 90, 180 or 365 days. Candidates can ask for deletion sooner from their data page.
