Asking for a person: the alternative process and appeals

How a candidate chooses a person instead of the AI screen, what an automated rejection explains and how to appeal it.

01Choosing a person instead

Where a rule set asks for it, a candidate can choose a person instead of the AI screen, on the apply form or before the interview. The hiring team gets a request to screen them another way, and autopilot never decides for that candidate.

02When an automated rule rejects you

  • The main reasons, in plain words.
  • The data the decision used and where it came from.
  • How the automated rule contributed to the decision.
  • A way to tell the team that something it used is wrong.
  • A request for a person to review it, answered by a person on the hiring team.

03Where to ask
