Make a decision, and undo it

A person decides every advance, hold or reject, unless you switch on autopilot for a job. You see the exact message first, and you have 5 minutes to undo.

01The decision gate

On a candidate's page, choose Decide. Nothing reaches the candidate until you confirm.

  1. Pick Advance, Hold or Reject.
  2. Write a reason. It is shared with your team, never with the candidate. A rejection also needs a reason from your list.
  3. Choose the channel (automatic, email or SMS) and the message language, then read the exact message.
  4. Choose when it goes: send now, in the 10:00 morning batch, or record the decision without a message.

02Undo within 5 minutes

Send now waits 5 minutes before the message goes out, so you can undo a decision you did not mean. Undo stops working once the message has gone, the candidate has booked a slot or someone has moved the candidate since. Confirm shortlist has the same 5 minute undo.

03Nothing decides on its own

SeekIQ never rejects a candidate unless your team switches on autopilot for the job. Advancing is blocked while a score is waiting for review. Workflow automation rules only suggest a move forward and wait for a person to confirm. Autopilot, once a team switches it on, advances or rejects by the rules it set, records each decision with its rule, tells the candidate and lets them ask a person to review; it is off by default in the EU, the UK and New York City. Archiving a candidate goes through the same gate with a reason.
