Getting started

Bring in candidates and invite them to interview

Candidates apply from your careers page, an embed, email or referrals. Your team can also upload CVs and import lists. Interview invites go out by email first and SMS second.

01Where applications come from

Every application is parsed and ranked against your criteria once the candidate has agreed to it, and the source shows on each candidate.

  • Your careers page, where people apply in about a minute with a CV as a PDF, a Word file or a photo.
  • The careers embed on your own website: your open roles or one role, and on Growth and Enterprise the apply form itself.
  • Email: each job has its own intake address in Settings, Email intake. Forwarded CVs ask the candidate for consent before anything is screened.
  • Your own uploads and lists: on a job, choose Add candidates to upload CVs or import a CSV list.
  • Your referral page, for employees to refer people they know.
  • The public API, for your own systems.

02Your careers site, embed and own domain

Settings, Careers site, Page builds your careers page from sections: a header, about, values, benefits, team photos, questions and your open roles. Each text has an English and a Bangla version, sections can be moved, hidden or removed. A preview shows the page on a phone and a desktop in both languages. Saving publishes it straight away.

Settings, Careers site, Embed writes the code for your website: your open roles (filtered by team or place), one role, or one role with its apply form. Choose the language, button colour, corners and font, then copy the code. You can check a page of your site to see that the code is there. The jobs list works on every plan. The apply form inside your website is on Growth and Enterprise; on Starter the role shows with an Apply button that opens your careers page. Applications that come through the embed are marked with the embed as their source.

Settings, Careers site, Own domain (Growth and Enterprise) puts your careers pages on a subdomain you own, such as careers.yourcompany.com. Add it, create the CNAME record shown at your DNS host, and it goes live once the record is found. If your plan changes to one without it, the domain keeps working for 30 days and then sends people to your SeekIQ careers address.

03Upload CVs you already have

Open the job's pipeline and choose Add candidates. Drag CVs onto the page or choose them: one file or up to 200 at a time, as PDF or Word (DOCX), up to 10 MB each. The job must be open or paused.

Each file goes straight to private storage, and a list shows its progress. A CV that is already on this job is skipped, and a CV from someone already in your workspace is added to that person rather than creating a second record. You can stop the uploads and try a file again.

These candidates did not apply themselves, so before consent SeekIQ reads only the name, email and phone from each CV, without any model. Each person gets an email asking for consent, the same request used for CVs that arrive by email, and the pipeline shows them as Waiting for consent. Parsing and ranking start when they agree. If they choose a review by people only, nothing automated reads their CV and your team reviews it by hand.

When a CV shows no email, the row says No email found. Add the address there to send the consent request.

Each CV counts towards your plan's CV screens when it is read, after consent. A CV past the allowance for the period is never dropped: it waits and is read when the allowance renews or after an upgrade. Every upload and import is recorded in the audit log.

04Import a list

On the same page, choose Import a list and pick a CSV file. The first row names the columns: name, email, phone and, if you have it, a CV link starting with https. Column names can be in English or Bangla. Up to 500 rows, each with a name and an email or a phone number. Download the template from the page to start.

You see the rows before anything is imported, with the reason for any row that will be skipped. Each imported person gets the consent request in the same way, and a CV link is downloaded and added to their record.

05How interview invites go out

When a candidate reaches the interview stage of the workflow, SeekIQ sends the invite with reminders. If the role has an interview window on its timeline, invites go to the shortlist when the window opens, and a reminder goes before it closes.

Confirm shortlist moves the candidates you chose to the next stage. It sends nothing itself: the invite comes from that stage, so you can check the list first.

06Email first, SMS second

Invites go by email when the candidate gave an address, and by SMS when they only gave a phone number. If an email cannot be delivered, SeekIQ tries SMS. Messages can go in English or Bangla.

07When invites pause

New interviews pause when the free trial has ended or a plan has lapsed. Nothing is deleted: choose a plan and they continue. See What happens when the trial ends.
